VAL HELISKI SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT
At Val Heliski we acknowledge that heliskiing has adverse effects on the environment. We are striving to completely mitigate the carbon dioxide we produce from our heli activities.
We have calculated the amount of carbon dioxide we produce from our business practices, and using Val Heliski mountainside land, we are planting indigenous trees in order to sequester carbon and help preserve the environment.
Our heliskiing guests can also plant trees on our land to sequester their carbon emissions for the day and also to cover the emissions they have created over their trip!
In an attempt to become more environmentally friendly, we are:
- Minimising energy use
- Recycling and reusing
- Employing a ‘Leave no Trace’ policy
- Absorbing the carbon dioxide we produce
