Ready, set, heli! The conditions have been ideal for heliskiing in Les Trois Vallees over the weekend, with the altiports buzzing with activity on a very sunny Saturday following much-anticipated snowfall late last week.
Snowfall made for low visibility on Friday as the Courchevel area was hit with snowfall, for which many were grateful!
The sun will stay out in L’Espace Killy and Les Trois Vallees for the beginning of the week, and on Christmas we’re expected to get a nice gift of snow! Until that next dusting, be sure to look out for ice and loose granular building up on the pistes, especially on the north-facing side of the mountains. Before you hit the slopes today, check out the spectacular views from the summit cam in Meribel this morning for a peek at what it’s looking like up there.
With Sainte Foy just opening and the other resorts expanding their accessibility, there are more off-piste options and routes for avoiding the growing crowds well. We’re still enjoying the pleasantly warm temperatures across the region, which will drop from a high of 6 degrees to highs of 2 degrees and below as the week goes on—perfect for fresh snow.
If you just can’t seem to peel yourself away from the slopes to shop for the holiday, never fear! Why not take the plunge and get your loved one an unforgettable heliski experience? It’s perfect for the adventurer or devoted skier in your life. Trust us–it will be a gift they won’t soon forget.
Merry Christmas!
